You will also be invited for quarterly picnic at your host farm and can volunteer weekly to oversee your plot and glean the healthful benefits of exercise and fresh county air!
We are not responsible for any delays or losses due to weather or other acts of nature or God. As your plot and your host farm ages, they will become more resilient and stored produce more abundant to offset losses and the non-growing seasons/phases.
We’ve designed a productive and healthy cancer-fighting mini-farm with select varieties of kale, broccoli, cauliflower, garlic, onions and tomatoes, tree collards and purple colored leafy greens and veggies, according to the zones and conditions of each season amongst other items that have been shown by science to provide healthy nutrition that correlates to the reduction and prevention of cancers.
Subscribing to your very own cancer-fighting garden is an excellent way to take the reins of your health and is a supply-chain and inflation proof method of securing health and food for the rest of your life for you and your family! 400 SQ FT is ample space to supplement or feed a family of 2 – 4 people. It provides access to fresh produce, nutrient-dense foods with fewer toxins from pesticides or other chemicals normally used in commercial farming operations.
Not only that, but it’s cost-effective and sustainable – so you can reap all its rewards without taking too much of a hit on your wallet. Included in your subscription is a relaxing quarterly picnic at our farm and a weekly cancer-fighting volunteer opportunity If you live close enough to one of our farms. We recommend you come and visit your garden once it is up and running for you to gain other benefits that help fight against cancer such as:
1 – Gardening can be incredibly calming and therapeutic. It provides an opportunity for mindfulness while surrounded by nature – something we all need more of these days. Taking care of plants can give us purpose, which can help manage stress levels that could otherwise contribute to illnesses like cancer.
2 – Working in the garden burns an estimated 324 calories an hour for someone who weighs 150 pounds. The American Cancer Society recommends adults get 150 minutes of moderate-intensity activity, such as gardening and yardwork, every week.
The food we grow can help you get the 2½ cups of vegetables and fruits the American Cancer Society recommends adults eat every day!
